Energy & Fuel Users’ Association of India (ENFUSE) in association with Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) is conducting a one day workshop and conference on “Dependability of REC Mechanism, RPO and Power Trading in Solar Industry” on 31st August 2012 at CPCL RESOT, Chennai. This event is being co-sponsored by Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited, as a part of their green energy initiatives
The objective of the Workshop is to facilitate tangible steps for an investor keen on starting off in the solar energy industry through REC mechanism and also for the RPO obligated entities in the state to understand its implications and benefits they would enjoy through this scheme. The emphasis hence is on providing sources of practical data, updates and insights.
The conference is being developed with inputs from solar energy industry experts, investors and professionals who have been constantly interacting with the solar energy industry for several years. The conference aims at serving as a guide to those keen on venturing into one of the most exciting renewable energy domains. It is also proposed to bring out the expectations of the investors and RPO obligated entities from the government and facilitate to bridge the gaps between various stake holders. Thus this workshop will be the ideal platform for the RPO obligated entities, investors,
government, solar power developers and other stakeholders in the solar industry to exchange their views and bring out a concrete plans to develop solar projects in the state.
The event is going to be inaugurated by Mr. Sudeep Jain IAS – CMD, TEDA and along with him some of the most prominent experts from the industry like Mr. S Jayaraman – Member, CERC, Mr. K.S. Popli – Director, IREDA, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mediratta – Sr.VP Indian Energy Exchange Limited, among others will also be present.
It is intended that this platform, be able to bridge the gaps and apprehensions about the REC scheme among the various stake holders of the solar industry and RPO obligated entities, providing the much-needed confidence to the potential investors specifically in the state of Tamil Nadu.
