India’s first IEEE organized workshop on MicroGrids, Netmetering invites stakeholder comments for whitepaper

IEEE- PES – worldwide largest professional, non-profit association with more than 29,000 individuals from the Electric Power Energy Industry, Bangalore Chapter  is conducting a two-day workshop on “Advances in Distributed Generation in Micro-Grid, Net- metering & Renewable Integration” August 24 & 25, 2012 at , Central Power Research Institute, Bangalore

The workshop invites all the stakeholders, regulators, policy makers, CEA, utilities, system operators, wind developers and investors, solar panel manufacturers, developers and investors, meter manufacturers along with academicians and practicing consultants in this area to brainstorm, address challenges and discuss solutions with renowned industry experts as speakers offering their valued opinions. Proceedings will be shared among all the stakeholders including policy makers for fruitful action.

As a part of that initiative, the concept paper was released by the organizers on August 9’th in Bangalore.

Following the concept note, a white paper will be released by the technical committee at the inauguration of the workshop.

It is expected that the white paper would form the basis for discussion during the workshop and to get feedback from diverse stakeholders the organizers have released a questionnaire for comments.
