Waaree commissions Greentech Power’s 5MW Solar PV Project in Rajasthan

WAAREE Energies Pvt. Ltd. – a company in EPC business of PV plants in India, and manufacturer of PV modules – has successfully connected a 5MW PV Power Plant for Greentech Power Pvt. Ltd. at Kolayat, in Bikaner district of Rajasthan. The plant is using crystalline PV modules manufactured and supplied from WAAREE’s Surat plant. Bollywood hero Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat announce completion of a 25MW Solar plant in Gujarat

Gujarat is the first state in India to come out with a comprehensive  solar policy with an ambitious  target of installing 1000MW solar power by the end of 2012 and 3,000 Mw in next five years. SunEdison Activates 25MW Solar Power Plant in Asia’s Largest Solar Park in Gujarat, India

SunEdison, a leading worldwide solar energy services provider and subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc., announced the activation of a 25 Megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant located within a multi-developer, multi-facility solar park at Charanka village in Patan district, Gujarat, India. Tamil Nadu to come out with industry-specific policies including renewable energy soon

According to reports, Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday said the state would soon ink investment agreements with several automobile and auto component makers and would come out with a series of industry-specific policies. Solar Thin-Film Panels May Outperform Rival Technology in India
