Lanco Infra completes 56 MW grid connected solar photovoltaic power plants in Gujarat

According to reports, Lanco Infratech subsidiary Lanco Solar announced the completion of 56 mw grid connected  solar photovoltaic power plants in Gujarat. It includes three plants of 35 MW owned by Lanco Infra and additional 21 MW built as turnkey EPC for  Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd (GPCL), GSPC Pipavav Power Company Ltd, GHI Energy and Gujarat State Electricity Corporation. Modi to dedicate 600 MW solar power projects to the nation on Thursday

According to reports, Gujarat is set to emerge as India’s largest solar power destination as the Chief Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, dedicates 600 MW solar power projects to the nation on Thursday. Currently, India’s total solar power production is nearly 900 MW, two-thirds of which will be produced by Gujarat alone. Japanese team to help ramp up grid network in Tamil Nadu

According to reports, Tamil Nadu has more hope for an improved power supply network, with a technical team from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) visiting Chennai soon to help the Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation (TANTRANSCO) enhance its operations. According to reports, IFC may invest upto $5Mn in Infuse Capital – an incubation and early stage fund aimed at seeding and supporting scalable ventures in India through equity investment up to US $1.5Mn per venture. Neyveli Lignite Corp plans to add 75 MW more through wind, solar energy

According to reports, state-run Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) plans to add an additional 75 MW through wind and solar energy which would be allocated to Tamil Nadu that is facing acute power shortage.
