Jakson Group debuts into Solar Power as an IPP

Jakson Group, a leader in diesel power generation and management announced its foray into the solar power sector as an IPP. Andhra Pradesh to constitute group of ministers team to study renewable energy in state

Andhra Pradesh as a part of its efforts to woo the wind power investors to the state, had earlier announeced that it had drawn up plans for strengthening the power evacuation system in the state involving an outlay of Rs 1,800 crore. CLP power India to invest Rs 18 billion in wind energy

According to reports, with a decline in European markets, many renewable energy producers are looking towards India as an investment hub. L&T Commissions India’s Largest Solar PV Power Plant

Larsen & Toubro Ltd. said its L&T Construction had commissioned India’s largest solar photo voltaic based power plant – 40 MWp – owned by Reliance Power Ltd. at Dhursar Village, Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. L&T Construction executed the solar power plant from concept (including detailed design) to commissioning in 129 days. Suzlon Energy Selected as Preferred Supplier by Cennergi for 138MW wind farm in South Africa

According to reports, wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy Ltd. Monday said it has been selected as the preferred supplier by Cennergi Pty Ltd. for a 138 megawatt wind energy project in South Africa. Cennergi is an equal joint venture between South Africa’s Exxaro Resources Ltd. and India’s Tata Power Co. Ltd.
