Renergy 2012 set to be a big draw – largest Renewable Energy conference in South India

According to reports, Renergy 2012, a conference-cum-expo organised in Chennai by the Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) on March 12 and 13 has proved to be a big draw.

Nearly 1,200 delegates have confirmed participation, which makes Renergy 2012 one of the biggest events in the renewable energy sector in India — certainly the largest in South India. Over 30 companies, including Zynergy, L&T, Gamesa, SunEdison, CLP, Suzlon and Minda, are supporting the event.

Mr Girish Pradhan, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and Dr Pramod Deo, Chairman, CERC, are among the prominent speakers. A major reason for the attraction is that this is believed to be a South-focussed event, where policy makers from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are among the speakers. Over 200 companies are putting up stalls at the exhibition.

Panchabuta will be represented at the event and would be available to meet our readers at the event. The founder Vineeth Vijayaraghavan will be moderating a plenary stakeholders panel discussion titled having  a Renewed Thrust on Renewable Energy
