TamilNadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) is organizing RENERGY2012, an International Conference and Expo on Renewable Energy. Tamil Naduaccounts for about 33% of total installed capacity in the country and TamilNadu Energy Development Agency has been instrumental in bringing theseinvestments and projects to the state. The state also has an ambitious plan ofsetting up 3000MW through solar energy by 2016. RENERGY 2012 is intended toserve as a platform for companies interested in entering the Indian renewabl eenergy market to meet policy makers and professionals, all at one place, and forge powerful business partnerships.
The two day event on March 12 and 13 is planned to have a conference involving major stakeholders in the Indian Renewable Energy sectorand top business heads from world over. The expo is expected to see over 150 big names in the RE business showcasing their products to over 5000 visitors.The conference and expo is planned to take place at the Chennai Trade Centre.
The Renergy 2012 Exhibition will focus on exhibiting and promoting solutions from diverse stakeholders along the business value chainfor all renewable energy sectors. The vision for the exhibition is to enablethe industry and end users to understand the latest available renewable energy solutions, and for the solution providers to gain relevant exposure for theirsolutions and to understand the needs of the target segments. The exhibition will be organized along themes closely reflecting that of the conferencesessions, thereby ensuring that the focused industry professionals and delegates who attend the conference will also have an opportunity to interactwith the exhibitors.
The expo has already seen a strong support from the publicas well as private sector. While Zynergy, Gamesa, OGP, QCells and SEMIhave partnered with TEDA for the event, it has also been backed by othergovernment agencies like NTPC, C-WET, IREDA and TNEB.
The Renergy 2012 Conference will be focused towards enablingIndia become even more attractive to renewable energy investors andentrepreneurs. To this end, the conference will analyse critical pain pointsfor the primary renewable energy sectors – solar, wind, biomass, waste to energy, energy efficiency and decentralized power generation.
