Maharashtra to revive Rs. 20 billion Sakri solar project

According to reports, the Maharashtra Government is trying to revive the Rs 2,000-crore Sakri solar power project in Dhule, northern Maharashtra. The 150-MW project hit a major hurdle in 2011 when the State Forest Department objected to the site of the plant, as it was a declared forest under Government records. Unable to redetermine tariff:Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission

Solar power project commissioned in Chhattisgarh

According to reports, Kolkata-based crystalline photo voltaic module maker as well as EPC contractor; Vikram Solar Group, announced the commissioning of 2 MW grid-connected solar power project at Khaora, in Chhattisgarh. Mytrah Energy to increase wind energy generation capacity

Suzlon, 2 other companies keen on offshore wind farms off Tamil Nadu coast

According to reports, Suzlon, Bharat Light and Power Pvt Ltd, and another company called Greenshore Energy, have shown interest in putting up large-scale wind farms in the seas near Tamil Nadu, it is reliably learnt.
