Chemtrols Solar successfully commissions a 1 MW Solar PV project in Gujarat

Chemtrols Solar has commissioned and synchronized with the grid, a 1 MW Solar PV Power Plant on 31st December 2011 at Patdi, District Surendranagar in Gujarat.

This plant, executed for Rasna Marketing Services LLP, Ahmedabad, under the Gujarat Solar Policy Phase II, it’s built with world class components including First Solar CdTe frameless modules and SMA string inverters. Record generation and Performance Ratios have been achieved in the first two weeks of operation. Chemtrols Solar will also undertake comprehensive O&M (Operation & Maintenance) services for the plant for a period of 25 years. As per the guidelines and PPA, GUVNL will pay Rs.15 /unit for first 12 years and Rs. 5/unit for next 13 years for the power generated from the this plant.

The project developer Rasna Marketing Services LLP in a statement said “We are extremely happy with the timely commissioning of our plant and the excellent energy generation achieved, which points to a high quality of engineering and robustness of construction”. The developer along with the EPC contractor also plans to plant low-rise crops in extra available unused area. In addition to being a potential revenue source, this also helps in cooling the area and controlling dust locally, both of which will ensure better generation from the Solar Panels.

Chemtrols Solar, part of the 36 year old Chemtrols Group, has now established itself as a reliable & quality EPC services provider for PV power plants, and plans to execute projects to the tune of 25 MW in the year 2012.
