China Sunergy’s 13MW Solar Modules Commissioned in a 25MW Indian Solar Project

Suzlon arm bags order worth Rs 6 bn

SEFORGE, a Suzlon Group subsidiary, announced a major supply agreement with global bearings manufacturer worth Rs 6 billion (USD 115 million) for the supply of forged and machined rings used in various types of bearings, including slew bearing rings, over a period of five years. India’s Magnetar to launch $100 mn cleantech fund

According to reports, India’s Magnetar Venture Pvt Ltd plans to launch a $100 million fund focused on clean technologies by March to funnel growth capital into budding enterprises, a senior official at the venture fund told Reuters. India to End Wind Farm Tax Break Next Fiscal, Official Says

According to reports, India will discontinue a tax break for wind farms starting in April, the beginning of the financial year, potentially stalling growth in a $3 billion market dominated by turbine-supplier Suzlon Energy Ltd. “Accelerated depreciation will go away in April,” Dilip Nigam, director of wind policy at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, said in an interview in Mumbai today.
