Vallabh Bhanshali’s Talma Chemical Industries plans to invest Rs 17 billion in solar power foray

According to reports, Vallabh Bhanshali, a storied investment banker who introduced Infosys to the capital markets, has made a unobtrusive but ambitious entry into solar power with plans to invest Rs 1,700 crore in setting up generation capacity of 100 megawatt. Four companies in fray for solar rooftop project in Gandhinagar

According to reports, in a first of its kind project by a state government, the Government of Gujarat is setting up 5 megawatt (Mw) of solar power generation capacities on a pilot basis using rooftops of the commercial, residential and government buildings in Gandhinagar. Suzlon to develop 3,000 MW of wind energy in Andra Pradesh

According to reports, India’s largest wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy will develop 3,000 MW in Andra Pradesh by 2016 with a potential investment of Rs.18,000 crore. The company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government during last week’s Partnership Summit 2012 in Hyderabad. Equity capital of IREDA likely to quadruple
