Anand Mahindra to head solar advisory panel in India

According to reports, Mr Anand Mahindra, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra, is to head the Solar Energy Industry Advisory Council, which has been recently set up by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Telecom towers asked to shift to hybrid power

According to reports, in a bid to reduce the carbon footprint of the telecom sector by reducing its dependence on diesel, the government has directed all telecom service providers to ensure that at least half of all their towers in rural areas use hybrid power sources. Gujarat to generate 500 MW solar power soon

Kochi corporation urged to hasten solar city programme

TANGEDCO wants solar heater mandatory in new houses in Tamil Nadu

According to reports, officials of the Electricity Board here plan to suggest to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission to make provision for solar water heaters mandatory in new residential buildings with a built-up area of more than 1,000 sq.ft. if they have to get power connection. Mahindra Solar One to invest Rs 10 billion in solar power generation
