Suzlon Awarded Order for 24 Megawatt Brazil Wind-Energy Project

According to reports, Suzlon Energy Ltd. (SUEL), India’s biggest wind-turbine maker, will sell power equipment to Brazilian developer Servtec Group and investment fund manager Rio Bravo Investimentos SA for a project in the northeastern state of Ceara. Suzlon will set up, operate and maintain the 12 turbines, which will start generating electricity in phases from December 2013, the Pune, India-based company said today in a statement without disclosing the price of the deal. Twenty projects to come up in Pune under Green Building Standard- ‘GRIHA`

According to reports, as many as 20 residential projects will come up in Pune and  Pimpri- Chinchwad areas developed on Green Buildings Concept under GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment), said Dr. R.K. AIM listed Clean Energy developer Greenko appoints Vasudeva Rao Kaipa as chief financial officer

Clean energy group Greenko has appointed Vasudeva Rao Kaipa as chief financial officer from 1 February.   Kaipa  is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and obtained a BSc degree (first class with distinction) from the Sri Venkateswara University, India in 1982. Kaipa is based in Hyderabad and has more than 20 years senior managerial experience and most recently was an executive director for XL Energy (from 2005) which has diversified interests including significant solar power operations. India should tap solar and wind energy aggressively

According to reports, Climate change expert Rajendra Pachauri has stressed the need for leading cities in India to adopt effective public transport and mass transit systems as a means to mitigate the after effects of climate change. Suzlon Group Wins 150 MW Wind Turbine Order For Oklahoma Project

Suzlon Energy Ltd. said its group subsidiary REpower Systems SE had concluded a contract with an East Coast US wind power developer for 73 MM92 turbines, with an overall power output of 150 MW. These turbines are destined for a project in Oklahoma, located in the south-central region of the United States.
