Parity in energy prices needed for higher growth: Montek

REpower to deliver 11 wind turbines for Portugal project

Suzlon Energy said on Friday its subsidiary REpower Systems SE will deliver 11 wind turbines for a project in Portugal. Germany-based REpower is a step-down, wholly-owned subsidiary of wind turbine-maker Suzlon Energy. However, the financial details of the deal were not disclosed. According to reports, Praj Industries Ltd has acquired a 50.2 per cent stake in Mumbai-based Neela Systems Ltd for about Rs 64 crore. With business interests in water treatment and modular process systems, Neela Systems is focused on the biotech, pharma and personal care segments. BHEL to commission Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd. 5 MW solar project by February end

Andhra Pradesh to invest Rs 1,8 billion in wind power evacuation

According to reports, as part of its efforts to woo the wind power investors to the state, Andhra Pradesh has drawn up plans for strengthening the power evacuation system in the state involving an outlay of Rs 1,800 crore. “We have sent proposals worth Rs 1,800 for strengthening the power evacuation network to the Centre.
