Nandha first village in Haryana to get solar plant

According to reports, Nandha in Bhiwani district has became the first village in Haryana to have a solar power plant.

Chief Minister B S Hooda inaugurated the plant having a capacity to generate one MW of power.Speaking on the occasion, Hooda said nine solar power plants would be set up in the state to give impetus to the sector.

The Centre has a plan to generate 20,000 MW of power from solar power plants by 2022 in the country and today Haryana has made a beginning in this direction, he said.
