Moser Baer registers 16.6% growth in sales in Q1, Solar EPC pipeline of 250MW over next 18 months

Moser Baer in its Q1 results announced that the net sales registered a sharp growth of 16.6 % Q-o-Q resulting in a turnover of INR 523 crores recorded during the quarter. The turnaround with sharp upswing in the profitability in Q1 FY12, return to profitability indicated in the coming quarters. REpower sees 23% sales increase in Q1

According to reports, German wind turbine manufacturer REpower recorded sales of €248.3m in the quarter ending 30 June, a 23 per cent increase compared with the same period last year when it received orders worth €213.1m. EBIT in the period was up to €10m from €1.5m in the first three months of fiscal 2010 and net income was €4.2m, more than double last year’s level of €1.8m. Husk Power Systems aims to install 2014 rice husk power plants by 2014 in India

In June this year, Husk Power Systems (HPS) of Bihar was one of the recipients of the  prestigious Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy in London. HPS generates electricity through the gasification of rice husk. The company has been trying to boost its entrepreneurial capacity in collaboration with Britain-based Shell Foundation for about two years. Reliance ADAG group keen to set up total of 500MW capacity solar power in Rajasthan with an investment of Rs. 80 bn

According to reports, industrialist Anil Ambani of the Reliance Group is keen on setting up more solar power plants in Rajasthan.
