Tamil Nadu proposes to establish a 50MW Solar Park through PPP mode

Kerala to give emphasis to Renewable Energy parks

 National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), said last month that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Kerala to develop around 200 MW wind energy-based power projects in the state. The state-owned power producer wil develop wind power jointly with the state government on a build, own and operate basis. Solar power plants in Rajasthan to get water from Indira Gandhi canal

According to reports, the Rajasthan government has directed Indira Gandhi Nahar Project (IGNP) to facilitate water supply for five solar power companies signed up under National Solar Mission. IGNP will release 12 cusec after signing up water agreement with these companies which together will generate 400 MW. UN registers Himachal Pradesh’s multi-crore carbon trading scheme

Earlier in May this year, the World Bank entered into an agreement with the Himachal Pradesh government for what is to be the world’s largest and India’s first clean development mechanism (CDM) project under which the bank will buy carbon credits from the new forests being developed on degraded lands under a watershed management program.
