Clouds hang over solar mission projects in India, Uncertainty Persists

According to reports, ambitious projects under the Jawaharlal National Solar Mission are stuck despite an overwhelming response after the government found holes in the corporate equity holding structures of companies meant to implement them. Suzlon Energy promoters pledge 36% of their stake

According to reports, Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy on Tuesday said its promoters have pledged 36 per cent of their stake in the company. Pranav Tanti, one of the promoters of Suzlon Energy pledged 72 per cent of the total number of shares held by him in the company. Indowind to set up 28 MW windfarms, to invest Rs 1.2 billion

  According to reports, wind energy firm Indowind said it is planning to set up 28 mega watt windfarms with an investment of Rs 120 crore, taking its total capacity to 71.92 MW by March 2012. “We are in the process of setting of 28 MW windfarms in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu inculcating an investment of Rs 120 crore,” Indowind Chairman K V Bala told reporters.
