Canadian Solar Expands into India with a 33 MW Solar PV Module Sales Agreement with Cirus Solar Systems

Canadian Solar Inc.  (NASDAQ: CSIQ), one of the world’s largest solar companies, today announced that it has signed a photovoltaic (“PV”) solar module sales agreement with Cirus Solar Systems Private Limited (“Cirus”), a  solar engineering, procurement and construction (“EPC”) company based in Hyderabad, India. ABB India bags Rs 16 crore order to supply solution for three PV solar power plants

According to reports, ABB India has won orders worth Rs 16 crore to supply turnkey power and automation solution for three photovoltaic solar power plants with a combined capacity of 11 megawatts (MW) in India. The orders comprise of two 5 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants and one 1 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant. Gamesa open to taking equity in select customers’ companies

A couple of days ago, Gamesa announced its half yearly results where it had beaten forecasts with solid growth in India and Latin America. The company announced that in India, sales increased 2.4-fold (accounting for 17% of the total) and 4-fold in Latin America/Southern Cone (19% of the total) . Suzlon board approves Rs. 50 billion fund-raising plan

Just yesterday Suzlon had reported strong Q1 FY12 numbers beating most of the earning forecasts by analysts. The company announced a 80% YoY growth in revenues to Rs. 4,326 crore . Further, the company maintained its guidance for FY12. The company reported a PAT of Rs. 60 crore , against loss of Rs. 912 crore of Q1 FY11, the corresponding period previous year. Pimpri-Chinchwad civic body first to have green buildings in India

According to reports, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has become the first municipal corporation in the country to introduce a green building initiative, said Arunkumar Tripathi, director, Union ministry of non-renewable energy (MNRE) on Saturday. PROINSO seals four new supply projects reaching 33 MW in India
