As Tamil Nadu is almost saturated with installations and with activity shifting to Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan the location of the new manufacturing plant by Regen Powertech seems to be a good idea. With number of manufactures scaling up operations and with the increase of IPP’s , most manufacturers are moving into multi megawatt machines of ratings between 2-3MW in India. This move by Regen Powertech to manufacture 2.5MW is a much needed move to catch up with the industry leaders.
Regen Powertech has witness a lot of order bookings recently including that by some of the largest IPP’s in the country, because of their turnkey solution offerings. Further, the locational advantage and their possession of some of the best available wind sites in Tamil Nadu-India has led to these huge orders according to sources.
