Punj Lloyd Ltd has informed stock exchanges that Punj Lloyd Group, the diversified global engineering,procurement and construction conglomerate has signed a 25 year Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVN) for sale of power from a 5 MW PV based Solar Power plant to be built at Phalodi area of Jodhpur district in Rajasthan. This project is being set up as part of Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM).
This Solar power plant is being developed by Punj Lloyd Solar Power Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle, which has been set up for the implementation of this project, Punj Lloyd Solar Power Limited will commission, operate and maintain the plant. The plant will be commissioned in a period of 12 months.
The scope of work for the project would include site preparation of approximately 35 acres, construction of about 8000 concrete foundations for module mounting structures, installation of approximately 560 tons of mounting structures, construction of control room, LT panel, metering room, S/S & security room, installation of 5 units of 1050 (350X3) KW (Kilo Watt) central inverters, installation of communication & monitoring equipment and network up to each inverter and grid interfacing and synchronizing.
As panchabuta, the project barely made the cut among the 30 developers shortlisted and that the company could have offered a discount of between 515-520 paisa in the bidding for the project.
Just yesterday, Chennai based CCCL Infrastructure, signed Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd. (NVVN) for its 5 MW Solar PV project in Tamil Nadu under Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission.
