As Panchabuta had reported, Suzlon’s headquarters-Suzlon One Earth- a project carried out by Synefra Engineering and Construction (a Tanti Group Company) had recently bagged the ‘Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) platinum rating’ from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Indian arm of the US Green Building Council.
Now according to reports, The Suzlon One Earth project has won the prestigious “Green Building of the Year” award at the Property Awards.The award was handed over to Suzlon by the chief guest of the evening, honorable Mr. PK Basu, who is among the top five Asian economists. A collegium consisting of 64 eminent personalities from real estate industry decided the winners of the Property Awards 2010 in a democratic process and were chosen for their industry standing, integrity and thought leadership.
The project has been developed in an area of 41,000 sq.mtr (10.13 acres), One Earth, one of the largest green building projects in the India with a built up of over 8,00,000 sq ft. Synefra has set benchmarks for energy and water efficiency with incorporating innovative aspects of engineering and construction. The accolade has been conferred to One Earth for its whole-building approach to sustainability by attaining key areas of human and environmental health, sustainable site development, efficient water, energy and waste methods, materials and resource selection, indoor environmental quality and most important innovation and design processes.
